Why are farmers protesting in India? These women journalists bring you some answers

Farmers in India have been protesting for nearly a year against a law passed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in late 2020. In an increasingly hostile environment for journalists under the right-wing BJP government, and amid rampant misinformation, these women journalists risk state persecution to bring you the latest developments in the crisis.
